Manager - Funds Management Research

Job Description

Provide research and analysis for selecting, monitoring and evaluating fund options for annuity and life products; provide analysis for fund selection and implementation of assigned funds and contribute to growth in sales and assets by supporting marketing and compliance initiatives while ensuring corporate profitability expeditions and while providing high quality investment choice for clients.

Responsibilities

•Prepare fund/subadvisor research, analysis and manager selection for assigned product lines (annuity and life) which includes utilizing written research and industry software to identify, evaluate and report on industry and investment product trends and analyze the competitive environment.

•Provide comprehensive analysis on investment performance relative to the market, benchmark and peers and prepare reports that identify trends, opportunities, and recommendations in-force business or for new business offerings.  Communicate investment information concisely both in writing and verbally.

•Oversee and drive strategic projects related to business goals.  Subject matter expert lead on medium scale projects including development, project formation, marketing and maintenance.

•Actively manage relationships with external fund partner firms which includes regular communication on product performance, due diligence and operational issues while meeting all compliance requirements.

•Lead across the organization to share information, resolve issues, support wholesaling initiatives, marketing communications and provide compliance efforts to support the team.

Required Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

•5+ years of investment-related experience  within a product management, due diligence analyst or marketing position.

•Strong quantitative skills with the ability to combine investment knowledge and technical expertise to produce effective results.

•Experience with analytical software to analyze investment style, risk characteristics and performance.

•Experience with managing professional relationship with third party institutions.

•Attention to detail and strong written/verbal communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications

•Certifications: CFA; CIMA, CAIA.
