Kenmare Resources is an established mining company, headquartered in Dublin, with operations in Mozambique. The company operates the Moma Titanium minerals mine, located 160km from the city of Nampula, and producing ~7% of global titanium feedstock supply. These feedstocks are primarily used for the production of titanium dioxide pigement, a bright white opacifier, that is ultimately consumed in everyday "quality-of life" items such as paints, plastics and ceramic tiles.

In 2018, Kenmare generated US$262.2 million in revenues and US$93.3 million of EBITDA. The company employs approximately 1,300 people and plans to grow production by +20% over the next 18 months.

The company is publicly listed on the Main Board of the London Stock Exchange, as well as Dublin Euronext.

Job Summary

The right candidate will:

1) support marketing and business development activities in monitoring and analysing relevant industries and markets.

2) Investigate the commercial, technical, financial and regulatory aspects of these markets in support of Kenmare's international marketing efforts.

3) Help to create and maintain databases, monthly reports and presentation slides for the two departments.

4) Keep management up to date on latest industry events and the implications for Kenmare.

Major responsibilities

1. Search, analyse and report on news in the TiO2, zircon and related industries pertinent to customers and competitors in order to keep management informed of trends and developments. Build industry knowledge and create a digital library of historical reports.

2. Expand, create and maintain financial models of industry competitors. Develop and maintain customer and competitor intelligence databases in order to assess customer options and improve Kenmare's market position.

3. Gather, analyse and report on TiO2 feedstock purchases by pigment producers. Maintain and develop trade statistics database and ensure validity of data with cross-comparison to internal and external sources.

4. Assist in the preparation of presentations and major documents, including strategy development, board meeting reports, budget reviews, conference papers, and meetings with the lenders.

Education

• University degree in a business and/or relevant technical discipline.

• Strong knowledge of PC software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).

• Excellent communication skills, good command of English for report writing and presentations.

Complexity of problems to be solved

1. Organize existing industry analysis and competitor documents into an electronic library for use by the wider team.

2. Create competitor analysis factsheets for each major competitor and mine globally.

3. Assist in the forecasting of TiO2 feedstock supply & demand through economic modelling, cross-comparison with industry data, end-use and regional analysis.

4. Maintaining a monthly marketing report with relevant charts and industry updates and slides for investor presentations.

5. Continuously track and match detailed feedstock trade between suppliers and purchasers (types, volumes, prices) in historical and forecast years, to evaluate customer's or competitors' options.

6. Support sales and marketing efforts in contract negotiations through an assessment of competitive intelligence data from internal and external sources.

7. Review of international import/export statistics, validation of data and continuous maintenance of a comprehensive database.

8. Updating and learning to build financial models of industry competitors.
