Corporate Finance - External Reporting Data Production - Analyst

Career / Role Mobility: External Reporting (ERP) Schedule Preparer interacts with many other finance functions and across all Lines of Businesses (LOBs such as Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, Consumer and Community Banking & Asset Management). Growth can be made in the current team through either increased product or report coverage and management or a change in discipline to ERP Data Operations, project management, business management or metrics and analytics. Outside of the team there is a direct link to product control roles in each LOB, product owner (SME) or report owner roles in Corporate Finance.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of the regulatory reports as per FED / SEC requirements on monthly & quarterly basis (10-K/Q (annual and quarterly financial performance), FR Y-9C (consolidated financial reporting), Treasury International Capital (TIC) submissions, FFIEC 009 (Cross Country Exposures), etc.).
  • Review and apply regulatory guidance via analysis and interpretation of data.
  • Partner with Internal Reporting / Schedule Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to produce and capture commentary as necessary.
  • Collectively package, attest and deliver final data results to Report / Schedule SMEs and ultimately deliver data to external regulators.
  • Collaborating across geographies with multiple stakeholders for sourcing information and delivering as per the requirements.
  • Identify and track control breaks, data quality issues and reporting errors through the reporting cycle; oversee escalation and resolution end-to-end.
  • Ensuring data integrity by adhering to the internal control policies and procedures. Also, ensuring robust control checks for all the deliverables.
  • Perform ad-hoc reports and analysis, as required.
  • Respond to Regulatory inquiries.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing, as required.
Requirements:
  • College degree in Finance or similar field; CA/CFA/CPA/MBA a plus
  • 1-4 years of relevant experience
  • Regulatory reporting background preferred
  • Banking product knowledge including derivatives, equities and debt securities a plus
  • Knowledge of US GAAP advantageous
  • Strong accounting skills and aptitude to work with numbers
  • Logical thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact with business partners independently
  • Outstanding relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive, strategic thinker
  • Tenacity to resolve issues and conflicts
  • Financial experience including budgeting, forecasting, modeling, interpreting results, and identifying drivers and trends a plus
  • Process oriented with a strong control mindset
  • Fluent in English
