AAI (Asset Allocation Investment) team manages institutional mandates through in-house funds over three fund structures in Luxembourg, BVI and Cayman Island. Most of the assets are allocated into 3rd party funds. In addition to that we provide our investors each year around 5 new investment opportunities executed through the BVI fund structure.

Overview of Role

The person will be responsible for Fund and private company DD and the knowledge center for specific Silverhorn capabilities.

Job Duties

Support Director Investments in establishing a portfolio of direct and in-direct investments across multiple regions, technological spaces and stages of growth, including:

Research
  • Screen and review suitable investments (aligned with Silverhorn Investment Philosophy) spanning all stages of companies' growths and geographies
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis including desktop research, data analysis, interviews, and review of legal terms
  • Summarize findings and formulate investment recommendations
  • Perform return distribution and portfolio role analysis
  • Help formalize the research process for selecting direct and in-direct investments

Portfolio monitoring
  • Analyze and understand performance drivers of approved investments taking into account global market sentiment and technology enhancement and trends
  • Communicate with portfolio companies' and funds management teams on a regular basis to stay informed
  • Ongoing assessment of investment integrity and portfolio role
  • Document and store according to Silverhorn procedure

Investment reporting / aftersales
  • Assist in drafting regular portfolio reports for client communication
  • Follow up on investor queries as necessary

Actively contribute to overall team efforts (e.g., regularly upload articles to an internal information management system to help build a database)

Technical Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of related working experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
  • Excellent written and oral English and Chinese
  • Experience in analyzing companies and or funds
  • Overseas working or studying experience
  • Has some (theoretical) investment knowledge (e.g., CFA)

  • Experience in managing external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, creative, responsible, with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong digital/technical ability
  • Relevant industry experience gained from a similar company would be a strong advantage.
  • An ability to work to organizational deadlines and KPI's.
