We are working with one of the world's leading alternative investment and private equity firms to hire an Associate or VP for their Chinese Real Estate Acquisitions and Asset Management team in Hong Kong.
Reporting directly to the Head of Chinese Real Estate in a small team with a flat structure, the role will involve underwriting, executing and managing opportunistic Chinese Real Estate private equity and Real Estate NPL portfolios.

Role overview:
- Acquisitions - Undertake analytical assessment of new investment opportunities. Collate underwriting assumptions and the review of Real Estate/ NPL portfolio data, real estate valuation, legal documentation and other materials forming part of due diligence process (leases, legal, technical, maintenance, tax etc.).
- Acquisitions - Creating and maintaining valuation models and financial cash-flows for target acquisitions.
- Acquisitions - Supporting the fund in the origination of Real Estate / NPL investment opportunities in China.
- Asset management - Responsible for business-critical asset management decisions through portfolio return scenario analysis. Development and delivery of asset-level business plans. Management and oversight of JV operating partners.
- Asset management - appointment and management of brokers and external consultants.
- Debt financing - Assist head of team with sourcing and negotiating debt financing for new acquisitions and refinancing existing investments
Qualifications, experience and skills:
The firm is ideally seeking to hire an individual based in London with the above experience who has a Chinese background and is interested in relocating to Hong Kong

- Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Real Estate (essential)
- CFA (desirable)
- 3 - 8 years Commercial Real Estate experience (essential)
- Acquisitions, Asset Management, Portfolio Management, Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Private Equity or Real Estate NPL experience (strongly desirable)
- Advanced Real Estate Excel modelling skills (essential)
- Full business level fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin languages (essential)
