Python Developer - Investment Banking

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Python Developerwith a strong investment banking background, such as a CFA qualification, to work as part of a front office change team within a Tier 1 investment bank in New York City.

You will work as part of team working on a wide-ranging project which has the goal of improving the technology used by salespeople in their interaction with customers to improve profitability by using business intelligence about prior trading activity and reduce manual activity such as trade booking. The project includes aspects of NLP, manipulation of the texts in trading communication (chat) and automation of trade booking in addition to Big Data analytics and predictive analysis.

What we are looking for

Candidates should have the following:

Required skills

Qualifications & Experience (required)

• CFA qualification and relevant experience of working within an Investment Banking environment
• Degree educated (GPA 3.0 or better)

Technical Skills

• 5+ years' experience of working as a Python Developer including experience with RegEx, Pandas, NumPy and Scikit-Learn

Professional Skills

• Very strong attention to detail - able to identify and flag up anomalies for review
• Prioritize workload and multi-task when required
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
• Demonstrate high levels of integrity

Desirable skills
