The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation is the professional organization of over 13,000 teachers employed in PreK-12 publicly funded schools across the province. The Federation has inspired and supported teaching and learning excellence in public education for more than 80 years.
The Federation is currently inviting applications for an analyst to work with a team of professionals in our Investment Services unit. This position will provide oversight and direction to the administrative, accounting and computer platforms for all investment functions. The analyst is also responsible for administering a performance measurement system to evaluate the effective utilization of assets totaling approximately $6 billion.
Typical responsibilities include: developing and implementing efficient processes and workflows in support of the Federation’s changing investment model; supervising custodial activities, including trade settlement, income collection, corporate actions, cash management and related account reconciliations; designing, developing and implementing enhancement to the work unit’s information systems; and directing unit and fund valuations.
The successful applicant will have an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or related field, combined with 3-5 years of related experience. A professional accounting designation is an asset. A solid understanding of accounting principles and investment administration is a definite requirement.
