Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking an analyst with up to 3 years' experience in finance or accounting to join our highly rated Alternative Investment Funds team. This role will involve drafting research reports and modelling to maintain and broaden stock coverage across a range of alternative asset classes. The role offers the potential to develop own coverage and client contact.

This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic and driven individual to progress to writing their own research with guidance and mentoring from the senior analyst. A relevant professional qualification (CFA preferred) is highly desirable and you must demonstrate a passion for alternative investments.

Reporting to:

Senior Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support senior analyst, assisting with preparation of Equity Research notes
  • Sector and stock coverage
  • Financial modelling and data collection
  • Screening alternatives universe for investment themes and ideas
  • Meeting with management teams of companies under coverage
  • Assisting the wider team with marketing and corporate access requirements


Key Relationships:

Internal: across sales, trading, research and investment banking

External: Investors and management teams

Employment Terms:
  • Full-time, permanent contract (following 3 month probation)
  • 45 hours per week (7am - 5pm)

Skills, Attributes & Credentials:

Essential
  • Clear understanding of the role and interest in alternative investments
  • Fully competent with Office Suite (advanced Excel)
  • Financial modelling knowledge
  • Up to 3 years financial experience
  • Flexible approach to tasks and workload
  • Well- organised, detail- oriented and strong communication skills
  • High degree of integrity


Desirable

CFA qualification, or studying towards this qualification
