We are PIMCO, a leading global asset management firm. We manage investments and develop solutions across the full spectrum of asset classes, strategies and vehicles: fixed income, equities, commodities, asset allocation, ETFs, hedge funds and private equity. PIMCO is one of the largest investment managers, actively managing more than $1.84 trillion in assets for clients around the world. PIMCO has over 2,700 employees in 17 offices globally. PIMCO is recognized as an innovator, industry thought leader and trusted advisor to our clients.

PIMCO is one of the world's premier fixed income investment managers with thousands of professionals around the world united in a single purpose: creating opportunities for our clients in every environment. Since 1971, we have brought innovation and expertise to our partnership with the institutions, financial advisors and millions of individual investors who entrust us with their assets. We aspire to cultivate performance and leadership through empowering our people, diversity of thought, and a commitment to an inclusive culture that engages in our global communities.

Position Description:

PIMCO's US Global Wealth Management (GWM) group is comprised of client-facing professionals who are directly responsible for contributing to the firm's success with financial advisors, registered investment advisors, multi-family offices, bank trusts, and other types of financial intermediaries. We represent PIMCO to our clients and prospective clients and seek to deliver investment solutions that leverage PIMCO's position as one of the world's premier fixed income investment managers.

The Private Client Group (PCG), in particular, is responsible for fostering, growing, and strengthening relationships with some of the most complex registered investment advisors, multi-family offices, bank trusts, and regional centers of influence by delivering the firm's full breadth of thought leadership and investment solutions.

The Senior Associate role within PIMCO's Private Client Group (PCG) will have two primary responsibilities: 1) partnering with PCG account managers to prospect and service client relationships and 2) owning a book of relationships for direct prospecting and client servicing.

Specifically, we expect the Senior Associate to have a solid understanding of fixed income markets and macroeconomics and be able to aid Account Managers on the team with client follow up, meeting preparation, RFPs, and customized due diligence requests. The Senior Associate will also be responsible for actively and directly prospecting a number of firms that we have yet to establish deep relationships with and for supporting the PCG team on key strategic initiatives and campaigns. The expectation is that the Senior Associate will have some light travel as part of his/her responsibilities but the majority of time will be spent in the office partnering with AMs on their relationships.

  • Act as a liaison between account managers and internal subject matter experts (Product, Solutions) to proactively coordinate responses to client data/ due diligence requests
  • Interact with senior PM and PIMCO resources to coordinate roadshows, conferences, and client calls
  • Coordinate with US GWM Sales Strategy to ensure the team has insights into sales opportunities
