Equities is split into Cash and EquityDerivatives (EDG). EDG provides structuring and trading services onequity-based derivatives products to a broad range of clients. EDG is theprimary risk manager of derivative transactions in the Equities division andtrades both linear and non-linear products. EDG consists of Exotics, Flow, Corporate Derivatives, Delta One,Financing and Convertible Bonds desks. Cash Equities executes trades andmarkets research ideas to corporate, institutional and hedge fund clients, andoffers worldwide execution capabilities across all exchanges and electronicnetworks. Trades are executed as Agency, Risk Free Principal and Principal,offering both High Touch and Low Touch solutions.

The Prime business offers flexible financingto clients in either physical form or through synthetic products and with itsability to borrow and lend securities (stock loan) also allows clients tocreate short exposure. A further role ofthe Prime business is to provide the wider Equities and Prime businesses withboth short term and long term secured funding.

Clearing is comprised of Futures &Options (F&O), Over the Counter Clearing (OTC Clearing) and OTCIntermediation. F&O provides Sales, Execution and Clearing services acrossfixed income, equity, foreign exchange and commodity asset classes. Clearingprovides intermediation services to clients globally, including facilitatingthe clearing process.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Production,preparation and reporting of the daily P&L and Risk
  • Understand,produce and explain daily P&L into constituent risk components;investigating any issues as needed
  • Review withFO to obtain sign-off and for any ad hoc requests and queries. First point ofcontact for FO.
  • Additionalliaison with other middle office areas, back office, FVP and technologydevelopment groups and point of contact for downstream issues
  • Liaison withaccounting control group to help investigate any issues around daily monitoringand review of the general ledger to reported P&L and month-end reportingand substantiation
  • Manageprojects and initiatives related to all of the above as well as largercross-business programmes
  • Be an activepart of the team, coming up with ideas and suggestions for improvements etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor'sdegree; finance, accounting, statistics, or economics is a plus
  • Over 3 yearsof relevant experience
  • Experiencingmanaging others and/or projects, in either a direct or indirect manner
  • Derivativesor Securities experience including clear understanding of Greeks analysis. Equity Derivatives experience preferable
  • Stronginterpersonal/communication skills - ability to relay information in a conciseand understanding manner
  • Professionalattitude, strong team player and personable / approachable manner
  • Strongattention to detail and ability to work effectively to tight deadlines
  • A nalyticaland logical manner; good at problem solving and devising solutions
  • PreviousP&L or risk within a derivatives or fixed income securities environmentpreferable
  • P roven trackrecord of delivering high quality results within tight deadlines; ability tomanage multiple priorities
  • Stronganalytical, problem solving, and process re-engineering skills
  • Investigativemind-set, able to see issues at both a high level and in detail
  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills, experience with creating documentation
  • Energeticself-starter who takes ownership
  • Strong teamplayer, comfortable working with all levels of the organization
  • Strongtechnical skills in using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Interest andability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Advantageous:
  • Accounting /Control experience- a professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACA, CIMA
  • CFA charterholder
