Assistant Global Markets Finance Manager

Financial Control Divisionâ€" Global Markets Finance Department

Hang Seng's Financial Control function works closely with the Bank's stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators and external examiners. We function as their accountants and business partners in providing comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting and compliance, capital planning and reporting, financial control & SOX control, tax advisory, insurance finance, and treasury and investment finance. Global Markets Finance Department (“TFC”) is a business finance function supporting and controlling Global Markets activities, under product control, reporting and control sections.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Assistant Global Markets Finance Manager.

Principal responsibilities
  • Perform daily off market rate checking
  • Perform daily take-over-rate checking
  • Perform daily permitted instrument monitoring
  • Assist in daily monitoring benchmark rate activities
  • Assist in monthly FVA/CVA/DVA/FFVA, quarterly PVA reporting
  • Assist in establishing risk control procedures, desk instruction manuals and valuation methodologies for treasury products
  • Participate in reviewing control processes and procedures for new product development to ensure compliance with the Group’s and relevant regulatory requirements


Qualifications
Requirements
  • University degree in Finance, Risk Management, Accounting OR a related discipline, with a recognized qualification such as TMA, CFA, FRM or HKICPA preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, preferably with middle / back office exposure to treasury products
  • Good knowledge of treasury / derivative products
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Ability to work independently, with good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
