The role is of a VP LatAm Corporate Credit Analyst within a global Emerging Markets Debt team at JP Morgan Asset Management. The Credit Analyst would be covering LatAm corporate credits. The analyst is expected to have strong fundamental credit analysis background with a focus on investment idea generation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The role is of a VP LatAm Corporate Credit Analyst within a global Emerging Markets Debt team at JP Morgan Asset Management. The Credit Analyst would be covering LatAm corporate credits. The analyst is expected to have strong fundamental credit analysis background with a focus on investment idea generation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Undertake thorough fundamental credit analysis (including financial modelling) and relative value assessment, translating those into high conviction trade ideas
- Clearly articulate strong views to portfolio managers. Be able to defend views against robust challenge
- Undertake deep-dive sector analysis and present to wide audience
- Work with the global credit team to produce the EM Corporate strategy quarterly output
- Present to clients, demonstrating credit process
- Conduct issuer meetings, build relationships with bank syndicates and sales, including providing feedback on credits and pricing thoughts on deals
- Ideal candidates must have a strong degree from a top university. CFA would be preferred
- 5 - 7 years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on Credit Research
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) required in a global set-up
- Strong Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, Power point)
- Close attention to detail and ability to work to very high standards
- Passion for and interest in corporate analysis
- Be a self-starter but critically also a team-player
- Spanish speaker preferred
