MSIM Global Fixed Income is searching for an intermediate experienced investment grade credit trader. The trader will become a member of the global fixed income trading team. Investment grade credit will be the primary focus of the role but there will be some overlap with other asset classes. The successful candidate will possess these qualities: high integrity, strong communicator, goal oriented, critical/analytical thinker, organization skills/high attention to detail, and a team player. This role will report to Global Head of Fixed Income Trading.
Primary role responsibilities/essential functions:
● Execute trades and identify trading strategies/relative value opportunities in the investment grade corporate bond market on behalf of MSIM clients
● Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, with broader credit investment team colleagues and dealer relationships
● Collaborate with MSIM's global fixed income investment professionals to assess market dynamics and strategies through sharing market insights with regard to trading levels, liquidity and flows
● Liaise with operations and other fixed income business colleagues to maintain and enhance workflow efficiency, monitor risk and improve communication
● Enhance our vendor electronic trading relationships and integration efforts that benefit our trading workflow
● Improve workflow efficiency through use of technology and systems

Qualifications:

Expected skills/Qualifications
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, economics or other quantitative major
● CFA designation preferred or working towards
● 3-5yrs of prior experience of fixed income trading experience, with a strong focus on credit trading. Investment grade credit trading preferred.
● Self-starter and team player with excellent communication skills and high integrity
● Risk taking mindset and ability to assess relative value opportunities
● Proficient with Excel and other analytical tools
● Experience with the Aladdin OMS or similar platform preferred
● Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
● Interest in technology and promoting solutions to improve trade workflow
