Brief Description of the Organization CBNA is the primary legal entity for Citi, providing products and services to consumers, financial institutions and corporate clients around the world. In the past, Citi has provided most of its internal reporting on a business by business basis. With the changes in the regulatory environment, strong legal entity reporting and governance has become essential. This team is responsible for ensuring that CBNA has the appropriate governance and control infrastructure to meet the demand for legal entity planning, execution, information management and the ever-evolving regulatory environment.
Position Description
The RFP Associate reports to the Manager of CIM Sales and will manage all aspects of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process from inception to delivery of final copy. Duties include writing/editing answers, working with sales and client service staff, and regularly managing all aspects of multiple proposals to ensure quality delivery of proposals prior to deadlines. Additionally, RFP specialist will interact across products to ensure most relevant product solutions are well represented. The responsibility will require interactions across teams and businesses including banking, investment finance and capital markets. This position requires the ability to interact with all levels of staff, across multiple business functions.
The optimal candidate must have excellent writing skills, intermediate knowledge of Excel (e.g., pivot tables, Vlook up, etc), be detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and organizational skills. The candidate must also have high level knowledge of investments and investment management and banking industry standards. Must be able to handle a heavy, deadline-oriented workload.

Responsibilities
• Development, preparation and oversight of customized responses RFPs from prospective and existing clients; questionnaires for consultants; special requests for clients; and regular and ad hoc reports for Client Service, Marketing and Consultant Executives from emanation to completion.
• Work closely with Product Specialists and subject matter experts from different departments to craft language to be used in all RFP responses, and develop specific reports.
• Microsoft Word and Excel for document preparation, and various custom Firm software for other data.
• Interface across departments to resolve issues (e.g., resolving data consistency issues between CS/Marketing and Investment Support departments).
• Cultivation of relationships with Product Managers, Client Service Executives, and other departments to facilitate responses needed to complete the RFP process (product knowledge is a plus).
RFP Focus
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Portfolio Managers, Investment Councilors, and Compliance to create customized, high quality RFPs for Citi Private Bank's ultra-high net worth clients, family offices, law firms as well as the firms' clientele.
• Implement RFP procedures that streamline the overall RFP process; including kick-off calls, team coordination, Compliance review and finalizing proposals.
• Develop appropriate infrastructure and build out a central repository of RFP responses.
o Maintain consistent voice and message across the various services within proposals.
• Create metrics to track, access, and report on RFPs.

Client Service Focus
• Prepare executive summaries for Sales team in advance of client meetings.
o Summaries provide key information regarding the client; including the depth of the relationship across Citi.
• Attend client meetings with the team.
• Interact with clients regarding RFPs.
• Participate in client events and roadshows.

Qualifications

• Experience in proposal, technical or business writing preferred
• Project management experience preferred
• Knowledge of financial concepts and investments a plus
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
• Ability to delegate project tasks and manage the contributions of multiple project stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel and strong quantitative skills
• Strong problem solving and organization skills, and a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong client relations experience

Academic Qualifications (minimum requirements):
Undergraduate degree strongly desired: Journalism, English, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations or Marketing preferred. Previous RFP experience and/or progress towards CFA designation a plus
