Position Description:

At PIMCO, our Technology team aims to deliver to our investment professionals accurate information, on time, every time that enable them to make decisions in an increasingly complex world. We provide trade execution capabilities, research data, analytics calculations, concise reports across a diverse array of financial investments that enable us to invest wisely and explain concisely to our clients what risk/reward decisions are being made. As a member of the Technology Business Management Team, you will focus on the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) facet of PIMCO. You will operate as a trusted advisor to Technology Management which is critical to planning and managing our annual budgets.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop standard financial reports that will provide transparency on cost base, resource metrics, delivery status & breakthroughs, productivity and efficiency across appropriate levels of the technology organization
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reports on a monthly basis with focus on key expense drivers and qualitative commentary
  • Implement processes to maintain proper financial controls and equipping management teams with the data and analysis to help run their organizations
  • Contribute to effort in implementing new financial and program governance toolset (PPM) that will be central to planning, forecasting and reporting of technology financials and portfolio
  • Lead workforce management work strea


Position Requirements:

Skills Required:
  • Proven technology business and financial management background working in CAO/COO capacity with senior management and large technology organizations
  • Deep experience working with a PPM tool, like CA Transparency, with the ability to manage portfolios as well as train and support users outside of finance
  • Strong knowledge of large-scale workforce management including forecasting and tracking growth, attrition, business unit transfers as well as understanding and being able to explain associated investments and productivity
  • Experience with finance, accounting, and practical implementation
  • Strong leadership skills and can work in team settings and can influence and drive agenda


Position Requirements
  • 10+ professional working experience in a FP&A function with good understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, as well as Capex/Opex
  • 7+ project management experience
  • 5+ years relevant work experience in Asset Management operations and/or technology environment
  • Mastery of PPM tools and Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
