The Securities Research department within Edward Jones is responsible for conducting research, identifying risks and opportunities, and communicating recommendations on individual stocks and bonds.  The Associate Analyst I position is one responsible for supporting analysts who are making investment decisions for clients. Responsibility Summary      
 •Support equities and/or fixed income team by gathering data and conducting statistical analysis in support of  investment recommendations.
•Assist the team in preparing communications of an investment message by updating opinions and sector reports, preparing PowerPoint presentations, and summarizing important sector events both written and verbally.
•Deliver quality service to financial advisors by responding to information requests from financial advisors and internal departments.
•Enroll in and work towards completion of the CFA program.
  Position Requirements
 •Finance, Accounting, or Economics Bachelor's degree and/or MBA preferred
•CFA or actively pursuing CFA designation consistent with department policy
•Series 7/66 within 6 months of hire, consistent with department policy
•Strong understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Years of  Experience Required
 • 0-2 years in related field
Functional Knowledge
 •Basic knowledge of economic, statistical and investment concepts.
•Capable of gathering relevant statistical data for use in the formulation of investment recommendations.
•An understanding of Edward Jones investment philosophy and firm business model.
•Experience preparing and presenting research as well as responding to requests from FAs and various internal departments and committees.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing and presenting preliminary research findings.
