Our client is a well known Top Tier Global Fund with offices in Singapore.
The Portfolio Strategist role will focus on ensuring, in conjunction with the sales teams, that the fund's products are extensively represented in the advisory/recommended lists that are centrally produced to drive the portfolio construction of clients managed by Regional/Global Banks, Insurance Companies and IFA's. This is to be achieved through collaborative interactions with client Fund Selection, Product teams in close coordination with the SEA Sales teams. Development of local content and elaboration of materials produced centrally aimed to support the positioning of the funds are key to the job, as well as awareness and close monitoring of competitors' products that can be displaced and/or bundled with solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver macro/investment related presentations to investors, distributors and their end clients as required
- Participation in client meetings, mainly with client counterparts with relevant degree of with the goal to increase in a measurable way number recommended lists and potential sales of funds
- Maintain regular contacts with Portfolio Manager/Investment Directors on portfolio positioning and market dynamics in order to update both clients and colleagues
- Origination/participation in PM's calls
- Competitor Analysis: Detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis vs. third party funds in DPM / recommended lists: tactical opportunities on single funds (underperformance, PM change, closing)
- Quick and accurate generation of written content (mails, newsletters) to be sent over on a regular basis to distribution networks bundling internal and external sources with the goal to link existing products to specific market situations where they can add value to clients
- Work closely with RFP team for client's RFP / questionnaire production and tailoring to standard RFP for inclusion in recommended lists
- Prepare and tailor locally internal product materials to specific client needs, in collaboration with central functions as well as local sales and marketing teams
- Liaise effectively with the Marketing and Sales teams to prepare and execute joint sales and marketing campaigns/efforts with selected clients
Experience and Qualifications Required
- At least 10 years of relevant experience within the asset management industry, ideally in the Fund Selection Units area or managing multimanager portfolios of funds
- Strong commercial attitude and excellent negotiation skills
- Mature calibre, able to deal with senior and sophisticated clients on the FSU space
- Positive and proactive approach, welcoming with enthusiasm new initiatives and opportunities aimed to grow the business
- Outstanding internal and external communication skills
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to details
- Results orientation, able to work independently
- Very good PC knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- CFA or Investment Professional Qualification is a must
