The Director, Client Relations is the face of AIMCo to a number of AIMCo’s external clients, serving as their partner with the goal of achieving trusted advisor status in all interactions. Working with others in the Client Relations Department, the incumbent will implement a comprehensive communication strategy that delivers AIMCo’s message through presentations, meetings, and client education events. The Director, Client Relations will foster deep relationships with his/her clients to anticipate their needs, provide specific solutions, and increase the overall quality of the service experience. This role will support the on-going advancement of the AIMCo’s client strategy while promoting AIMCo’s culture and value to its clients.
Responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating access to all areas of AIMCo and advocating for the client within the organization
- Delivering quarterly client investment reviews and working with the appropriate areas of AIMCo to prepare for client presentations
- Being the lead respondent to client and client consultant inquiries by working with the analysts of the client relations team
- Consulting with and providing clients with guidance in their investment decision process by providing details of AIMCo’s capabilities and communicating relevant feedback on client’s specific needs to the organization
- Reviewing client investment policy processes and leading their implementation
- Working with various resources (people and technology) to provide valuable solutions to strengthen relationships (key internal partners include investment management, legal, compliance and risk)
- Participating in and promoting client education programs such as AIMCo white papers, investment symposiums, and client education sessions
Our Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, actuarial sciences, or other related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Possesses a broad knowledge of financial markets across all asset classes, including public and private, and traditional and non-traditional investments
- Experienced in Pension & Endowment Finance
- Has excellent written and verbal communication in addition to interpersonal and analytical skills
- Possesses an MBA and/or CFA designation
