Client Advisor

Summary:

The Client Advisor collaborates with firm Partners to serve clients. The Client Advisor’s primary responsibility is to manage client relationships. Key activities include understanding the client’s financial situation and goals, making appropriate recommendations to achieve those goals, and ensuring the implementation of the plan, consistent with scope of work for which the client has retained the firm. The position supervises other experienced client associates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and participates in services, based on the engagement with each client and the Client Advisor’s own professional background, including:
    • Investment advice, implementation, and monitoring based on individual risk tolerance and client objectives
    • Financial planning to include cash flow planning, estate planning, risk management, and other disciplines that make up holistic wealth management
    • Tax planning and tax compliance
  • Analyzes and resolves complex client issues using sound judgment and strategic thinking
  • Delivers and reviews results and recommendations effectively with clients
  • Works collaboratively with attorneys, CPAs, and other of the clients’ advisors, as appropriate
  • Is viewed by the client as the primary point of contact and a trusted advisor
  • Represents the firm well in the community
  • Provides leadership, supervision, and coaching to team members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 6 or more years’ experience working with high net worth families, individuals, and their related entities
  • Supervisory experience required
  • CFA, CFP; MTax; MBA; CPA; J.D.; or other applicable certification preferred
  • Series 65 required within first 120 days
  • Demonstrated commitment to community involvement and relationship building
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM and financial services software
  • Proven ability to demonstrate strong financial analytical and planning skills
  • Proven ability to plan and organize with a high degree of creativity, innovation and strategic thinking
  • Proven ability to achieve results as an individual, team member and leader
  • Strong work ethic, professional demeanor and client service focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to demonstrate highest personal ethics, integrity and confidentiality
