Our Advisory business offers a broad range of functional and cross-country services dedicated to providing high-value and trusted advice to clients, with a specific focus on business transformation programs and financial management. Performance Improvement within FSO Advisory is part of an exciting journey to help Financial Services clients solve difficult business issues in areas ranging from Strategy, Customer, Operations and Finance to technology adaption and system implementation.

We are looking for a Manager with global industry and consulting experience within mature and emerging financial services markets to support our Performance Improvement Operations & Change / Transformation team based in Zurich. The Operations & Change team focuses on developing tailored answers to our clients' problems based on the core solution areas (Customer Experience, Product Innovation, Distribution Optimization, Technology Enabled Transformations, Operational Efficiency, Digital Solutions, Project Management and Change Management)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support EY FSO Advisory to develop, drive and deliver WAM / BCM go-to-market strategies relating to customer experience, product innovation, distribution optimization, technology enabled transformations, operational efficiency, digital solutions, FinTech / Ecosystem partnerships and business change
  2. Lead our local WealthTech offering while connecting, establishing, nurturing and activating relationships with our clients and EY practices across geographies (US, Asia, Middle East, Europe, Oceania)
  3. Leverage market knowledge and global experience from other developed geographies to provide an informed and diverse viewpoint on the trends of the WAM / BCM industries as it relates to innovative and disruptive technologies
  4. Manage project teams through all phases of the technology enablement life cycle, utilizing varying methodologies (e.g. SDLC, Scrum, Agile); Lend industry and delivery specific subject matter knowledge to the discovery and design phase of each project, helping to provide direction to the appropriate client experience, designed solution and business change techniques

Your Background

  1. Industry Knowledge
    1. Strong global (e.g. US, Europe, Asia, Oceania, Middle East) background in Wealth and Asset Management and Banking and Capital Markets industries with an in-depth understanding of successful business models, innovative digital solutions, business process improvement, omni-channel optimization, financial products and services, investment strategies, fee structures and industry trends and issues
  2. Business Development and Program Delivery
    1. Well versed in the scoping, positioning and sale of consulting services to enterprise clients across Financial Services
    2. Experience in developing, driving and delivering WealthTech solutions to Financial Service firms within developed markets
    3. Coordinate the delivery of digital initiatives between FinTechs and Traditional Financial Institutions
    4. Strong experience in project / program / product delivery methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, SDLC) and hold a certification as a Professional Scrum Master
    5. Skilled in all aspects of Design Thinking including user research, functional requirements definition, business process analysis, business modelling, and workshop design and facilitation
    6. Experience in project management and methods (e.g., steering committee communications; risk and issues register; status reporting; financials, resource and schedule tracking)
    7. Experience in the delivery of large target operating model programs for Financial Services firms and demonstrate knowledge in large core platforms
    8. Vendor selection experience for large core systems and FinTech solutions
  3. Management Experience
    1. Demonstrate the ability to manage and supervise teams to deliver customer-driven transformations through all phases of the project lifecycle (e.g. user research, requirements definition, process design, business re-engineering)
  4. Consulting Skills
    1. Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation, client service and business writing and consulting skills, coupled with a strong interest in further designing, developing and integrating business operations, digital initiatives and technology
  5. Background
    1. University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Finance, Economics or equivalent, ideally enhanced by professional certifications (e.g. CFA)
    2. International work experience in mature financial markets outside of Europe (e.g. US, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia) is preferred
    3. Minimum of seven years of full time relevant work experience in the financial services industry
    4. Experience as an external consultant, advising financial services clients on digital solutions, business transformation, product development, operational efficiency, program management and business change
