Head of Multi-Asset Investment Operation, Global Insurer

Responsibilities:

• Understand the group requirements and work closely with the head office on implementing a new investment operations model
• Define future capabilities required by the investment function to drive investment operations towards its desired operating model
• Work closely with local office COO to drive a common target operating model for the entity's investment operation
• Working with Investment office to drive the transformation of investment operation and work closely with other Business units such as finance; actuarial; custodians and asset managers to ensure the transformation meets the user requirements
• Drive operational risk management for investment and investment operations globally
• Ensure effective governance structures, infrastructure and processes are in place across all the insurance entities

Requirements

• Bachelor degree
• Prefer candidate with CFA or CIPM qualifications
• Extensive experience on buy side investment operation processes and prior experience in operation transformation is a plus
• Ability to understand and develop a target operating model and recommend enhanced trade processes to improve effectiveness from cost and efficiency perspectives.
• Experiences in different investment operating models, in-house management, outsourcing or hybrid model on a global basis.
• Detailed expertise and knowledge in relation to investment operations and processes
• In depth knowledge of investment systems including functionally, operationally and financially
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in buy-side operation or project management
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
