Position Description:

Over the past 24+ months, PIMCO has undergone significant change in the realm of digital readiness. As part of a global digital transformation initiative spearheaded by Technology and Marketing, PIMCO has built the stage to enable personalized client-centric experiences.

The growing Digital Marketing team at PIMCO is seeking a talented Front End Developer to support key business initiatives. In this role you will be responsible for conceptualizing and assisting the development of exciting new experiences for PIMCO's digital properties, while collaborating with colleagues across multiple teams and departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with internal leadership and teams across Marketing and Technology to craft design solutions within the defined project objectives
  • Identifying the user behavior of our target audiences and support the design of appropriate UI solutions
  • Using wireframes mockups with the vision to translate them into compelling and effective digital experiences
  • Building web pages using semantic HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and other modern front-end technologies utilizing Content Management Systems (Sitecore)
  • Assisting in the development of web applications that interface with various RESTful services
  • Partnering closely with the Digital Design team to meet brand requirements for public facing experiences
  • Maintaining clear file organization and output, ensuring code is written following modern best practices


Position Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional experience doing front end development
  • Demonstrable experience developing responsive pages with mobile design in mind
  • A real passion for user-centered design
  • Understand design patterns and fundamental software design principles such as breakpoints, grid layouts, flow patterns, load time limitations, responsive design and web accessibility
  • Development experience with technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and responsive/mobile design
  • Working knowledge of creative design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (XD, Photostop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator), Sketch and InVision
  • You love working in conjunction with other designers and developers to achieve cohesive solutions and across different platforms, devices, and situations
  • Hands-on experience using analytics data to drive design/development decisions within the applications
  • Expertise working with RESTful APIs to fetch and output data to a user
  • Experience creating site maps, wireframes, and customer journeys
  • Experience analyzing and reporting user data from providers such as Google Analytics
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Sitecore and/or other CMS platforms
  • Experience with accessibility and WCAG 2.0/2.1
  • Basic understanding of AngularJS
  • Experience with JIRA and agile development processes
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processors, such as SASS
  • Experience with Marketing Automation platforms such as Marketo and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with mobile app development and voice technology a plus
  • Financial services experience
