Position Description:

We are seeking a senior portfolio manager for our bank loan team. Working with lead Portfolio Manager, this position will have responsibility and oversight of the $16bn loan portfolio. This individual will have the ability to contribute to the growth of PIMCO's loan strategies, and will be involved in every aspect of portfolio management as a key member of our Leveraged Credit team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Portfolio construction for various loan investment strategies
  • Generating investment ideas for Loan and other Investment Strategies
  • Coordinating with PMs/Traders to implement investment ideas and manage account flows
  • Interacting with clients
  • Ability to market new business, as well as manage existing relationships
  • Managing communications internally and externally regarding current loan market conditions
  • Working closely with Credit Research Analysts on buy/sell decisions within the portfolios and the credit selection process


Position Requirements:

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the syndicated loan market; HY experience preferred
  • CLO experience a plus
  • Deep credit background and experience managing credit through a cycle is critical
  • Prior experience from buy side firm in bank loan portfolio manager capacity
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Proven track record of navigating across a global organization
  • Strong academics, MBA preferred
