Hedge Fund Marketer

ROLE:
The successful candidate will develop and implement an effective sales strategy to raise assets, spearheading the firm's marketing efforts from initial investor contact through allocation. The Marketer will manage and expand the firm's global institutional investor base of funds of hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, pensions, and family offices. Duties include leading the overall marketing process, presenting the firm and strategy to potential investors, frequent investor outreach, identifying and researching marketing leads, creating and updating marketing materials, maintaining our investor database, and occasional travel. The successful applicant will work closely with the firm's Principals.

CANDIDATES:
As a representative of the firm to the hedge fund marketplace, the candidate must be able to both understand and communicate the firm's investment models, performance attribution and research ideas. Excellent written and verbal communication are a must, as are attention to detail and being highly organized. The position requires an outgoing personality, skill in relationship development, and a desire to understand client needs.

The successful candidate will have 8+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years of relevant financial industry experience, ideally with exposure to hedge funds, CTAs, commodities or managed futures, and experience in sales, marketing, or investor relations, with a track record in helping raise assets. Masters, CAIA, or CFA is preferred, as is a Series 3 License.
