This position is located in our Calgary office and will report directly to the Manager, Investor Relations.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a very dynamic and growing area within the business, while interacting with all members of Inter Pipeline’s senior management team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Investor Relations department, including executing investor communication strategies, conducting peer group analysis and creating marketing materials.    

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

• Communicate Inter Pipeline’s key business strategies and results to members of the investment community, including institutional / retail investors, research analysts and other stakeholders
• Conduct peer group analysis, gather market intelligence and develop reports for senior management
• Monitor and report on research analyst investment ratings, target prices, earnings estimates and various other financial and operating metrics
• Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing materials such as investor presentations and fact sheets, as well as website and conference call disclosure
• Organize and co-ordinate marketing activities, including the preparation of materials for investor conferences and marketing trips
• Track and evaluate institutional investor holdings via IPREO database
• Gather and review disclosure support for investor materials in accordance with Inter Pipeline’s Disclosure Policy
• Support other various investor relations initiatives as required

Education, Skills and Experience:

• Three to four years of related experience, with a background in the energy industry
• A financial professional with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Finance or Accounting major
• Preference will be given to candidates with or pursuing MBA, CFA or accounting designation
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to confidently interact with all levels of management and external investment professionals
• Must be able to work well in a growth orientated, team environment
• Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word
