Strategic Intent

The Product Manager will be responsible for driving significant sales revenue through providing expertise and improving product knowledge of the front line sales staff for Citi Australia. You will be part of a team that provides strategy and execution to the largest alternative product client base in the country.

They will achieve this by working with key stakeholders across the business (including distribution, marketing, surveillance, legal & compliance) to develop a detailed product roadmap, ensure product obligations are met, customers are satisfied, gain buy-in to execute on the roadmap and manage the change process through to the end client.

Accountabilities:
  • Meet and exceed product line volume and revenue targets particularly across Investment Products
  • Ensure business procedures are carried out consistent with the product obligations
  • Assess investment product ideas in light of Citibank's client base and distribution capability
  • Plan and make decision on product schedule and deliver mechanism
  • Prepare product offering material and ensure products and processes comply with regulation/ legislation as well as internal policy
  • Manage the ongoing relationship with product issuers\
  • Ensure pre- product launch research on underlying is conducted to support product recommendations
  • Conduct competitor analysis to ensure relevance of product on offer
  • Coordinate stakeholders (such as issuers, marketing, operations, distribution, legal, compliance, regional counterparts, registry) to ensure that product training and associated collateral are delivered in a timely fashion, and that all subscription period and post issue tasks are completed
  • Provide on-going support to sales force for all issued products and also work with sales force to develop new products to meet changing client demands
  • Own, maintain and update Product Programs for new and existing products.
  • Drive a 'digital-first' mindset to digitise where possible and build scale
  • Work with Segments, Marketing & Distribution to ensure the product proposition supports customer segmentation strategies and is achieving the desired customer satisfaction outcomes (with NPS as our 'true north')
  • Act as subject matter expert on investment products, providing training and support to distribution, clients and other stakeholders as required


Qualifications

Qualifications :
  • Degree qualified, with preference for Finance, Business and/ Engineering
  • RG146 qualified (CFA or additional qualifications preferred but not essential)
  • 5+ years experience with demonstrated excellent understanding of derivatives
  • Proven relationship management, stakeholder management and/ or BDM skills
  • Good project management skills- previous track record in the management and delivery of multiple projects
  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Highly motivated and results driven
