The State Street (SSC) Performance & Analytics (P&A) team is looking to support its ever increasing client footprint by enhancing its operating model and implementing strategic solutions to reduce risk, improve the quality and timeliness of analytics, provide 1st class client support and deliver change management activities as directed by the client. Additionally, we aim to have outstanding client service and deliver towards SSC corporate goals.

The role will cover Investment Performance Analytics responsibilities in support of middle office fund management clients. This includes the oversight of the operational teams, as well as a deep understanding of the complexities of Investment Performance Measurement, Attribution Analysis (with a Fixed Income focus) and good working knowledge of the Global Investment Principles (GIPS).

Key participation in daily client activities, delivering strategic projects & initiatives, adapting to new client changes as well as working as part of a much wider global team provides for a developing and challenging career.

Support onboarding activities for new asset management clients and possess tools to be able to manipulate large data sets using tools such as SQL and VBA.

Comply with team governance activities to ensure they are carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures whilst meeting and exceeding risk requirements

Skills / Abilities
  • Detailed knowledge of Investment Instruments, i.e. Equities, Bonds, Money Markets and Foreign Exchange.
  • In depth understanding of investment management operations - especially Investment Performance Analytics and systems such as StatPro, GPA, Factset or Bloomberg PORT.
  • Understanding of key technology within the support of investment management operations such as SQL and investment accounting platforms
  • Analytical and problem solving mind set
  • Extensive project and change management experience.
  • Extensive experience and ability driving deliverables and meeting targets.
  • Outstanding client service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with internal parties and clients
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, balance key tasks and manage time effectively
  • Effective decision making skills
  • Study towards professional qualifications such as CFA, CIPM or FRM preferred.
