Department Description:
Global Banking & Markets provides a full range of investment banking, credit and risk management products and services relevant to the financing and strategic development needs of our clients. Our products include debt and equity financing, mergers & acquisitions, corporate banking, institutional equity sales, trading and research, fixed income products, derivatives, energy, foreign exchange and precious metals.
Position Description: This is a full time Associate position in the FX Derivative Products Group (FX DPG) based in Mexico, that will provide hands-on experience with financial FX derivative products and the opportunity to learn aspects of capital markets, corporate finance and risk management. The FX DPG is responsible for marketing, structuring and executing FX risk management solutions for commercial banking clients in Mexico.
The position offers opportunity for growth within the capital markets group. The ideal candidate will have junior-level seniority with some relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
• Liaise effectively with other areas of the bank (product traders, local bankers, middle office, documentations, legal, etc.)
• Work together with bankers to find new opportunities for new FX operations/hedging with existing Commercial Banking clients.
• Marketing, pricing, closing and booking of FX derivatives; Spot, Forwards and Options.
• Run different credit risk-measuring calculations as part of the group’s credit line request process.
• The role will increasingly cover and develop relationships with the bank’s commercial clients for FX risk management solutions
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate Degree required. CFA Charterholder (or working towards it) and AMIB Figura 3 are a plus.
• 1-3 years of work experience in the financial industry and preferably with FX products.
• Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge (mainly Excel and PowerPoint)
• Bloomberg knowledge is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English
• Strong interpersonal skills
