Description: As an Investment Analyst at Credit Suisse Asset Management Mexico ("CSAM"), you will be highly involved throughout the investment lifecycle of the Mexico Credit Opportunities ("MEXCO") investment funds. You will be a key collaborator in the process of deploying the funds' capital, as well as managing the portfolio of current investments. You will develop analytic expertise in a broad range of sophisticated transactions, such as senior secured loans, convertible loans, mezzanine debt, high yield, LBO's, special situations debt, distressed assets and private equity, across multiple industries.
As a member of the MEXCO Investment Team, you will perform activities like the following:
Attending meetings and on-site visits to current / prospective portfolio company operations
Building and maintaining full three–statement, thorough financial models in Excel
Performing detailed due diligence on companies operating across a broad range of sectors and strategies
Performing in-depth analysis of financial statements
Preparing detailed investment presentations for MEXCO's investment committees
Active participation throughout transaction closing processes, which involve a detailed review of relevant legal documents (prepared by MEXCO’s legal counsel)
Updating valuation presentations of private equity investments
Contributing on the elaboration and update of relevant materials regarding MEXCO’s outstanding portfolio to different stakeholders (investors, funding sources, internal departments, among others)
Monitoring relevant news about portfolio companies and sectors
We are looking for a candidate with tangible experience and skill in financial modelling and analysis, as well as preparing presentations / recommendations.
Ideally 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, equity research or private equity
Robust analytical and quantitative capabilities; advanced understanding of financial and accounting concepts
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Accuracy and strategic attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle many projects and meet deadlines
Team-player who has the desire to participate in an entrepreneurial firm culture
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, engineering or quantitative fields alike
Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Spanish
Proficiency in Power Point, Excel and Word
Master’s degree or CFA charterholder / candidate is a plus
