Position Description:

This position is responsible for building and leading the global workforce analytics function at PIMCO as we continue to leverage data to help the business attract and develop talent. In this position, we are seeking an individual who will embrace change and leverage data to answer pressing business questions in an ever changing world. The candidate will have a proven track record of generating results aligned to company goals and will be comfortable developing and executing our workforce analytics strategy.

Ideal candidates for this position will have at least a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in workforce analytics. The position will be based in Newport Beach, CA and reports to the Head of HR Strategy.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Create and execute the people analytics vision and strategy in alignment with HR and business leadership priorities and stakeholder requirements
  • Partner with business leaders and HR functional groups to develop a standard set of key performance indicators
  • Leverage current people analytics technologies to provide reporting, analytics, visualizations, and ultimately predictive analytics. Evaluate and identify additional tools required to deliver value over time
  • Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of a standard reporting dashboard across primary stakeholder groups (C-suite, business leaders, HR leaders, HRBPs, etc.). The dashboard should include relevant metrics that support business and HR stakeholders
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to understand the their evolving data and analytic needs
  • Communicate with employees at all levels to gain the voice of the customer, explain approaches and results, and consult on analytics services
  • Create and implement common methodology and tools for project management, data governance, modeling, and hypothesis testing that is scientifically rigorous
  • Manage people analytics governance, ensuring all projects are prioritized by business value and aligned with other analytics projects in the organization

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in workforce analytics
  • Bachelor's Degree (MBA or Social Science masters a plus)
  • Solid experience working with data and analytics and managing workforce plans
  • Technology implementation and change management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to align technology to improve business performance
  • Experience with cloud-based people analytics software
  • Proven ability to identify problems through statistical analysis
  • Ability to effectively analyze data in order to predict trends and help to answer pressing business questions
  • Strong understanding of external workforce trends to help drive reporting and tracking requirements
  • Thoughtful with good judgment and strong decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Attention to detail and data integrity
  • Ability to work on and complete multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead through change
  • Excellent influencing skills with the ability to set and communicate strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across the global HR organization to ensure there is broad awareness of analytics capabilities and priorities
