  • Job Description

This role will be responsible for the enhancement of Advice and Wealth Management (AWM) client and advisor facing performance measurement and reporting capabilities across the firm, and ongoing performance measurement and assessment oversight of the Managed Accounts programs on the Advisory Products platform.

  • Responsibilities

This role will focus on the investment performance management and oversight, including but not limited to:

• Participate in the transition and management on an ongoing basis of the Product Performance platform, which includes the development and reporting of investment performance for the products on the firm's Advisory Products platform and Investment Research Group
• Perform self-monitoring, internal audits and ongoing due diligence over 3rd party composites across the Advisory Products platform
• Verification of the GIPS compliance and required documentation for the 3rd party products
• Implementation of best practices for the generation of composite performance presentations, with a focus on removing manual work and alignment with industry standards (GIPS)
• Development of new and enhancement of existing policies and procedures; creation of training manuals and assistance with training all parties that use performance data
• Provide support for the annual audit and/or verification process
• Evaluate implication of upcoming and proposed industry guidelines changes; propose and implement enhancements to the current processes as needed to ensure compliance with the guidelines

This role will also participate in developing enhancements to various client and advisor facing performance reporting capabilities across the firm:

• Develop and implement controls around data input and production output
• Troubleshoot and correct inaccurate data in a timely manner
• Develop reporting capabilities in the performance systems
• Resolution of escalations and questions into the data and calculations related to the performance reporting metrics such as rate of return, yield, risk analytics, deposits, withdrawals and others
• Development of and participation in control-related testing across the various technology tools to ensure a single, cohesive approach to testing protocols and reporting mechanisms
• Development of advisor training on topics related to investment performance and analytics.

  • Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills and ability to use statistical analysis and modeling, with associated technology applications.
• Strong relationship and communication skills in working with colleagues, as well as influencing customers on recommendations and analysis results.
• Demonstrated experience in problem solving.
• Candidates must be able to work well under pressure or juggle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
 Attention to detail, accuracy and high level of personal accountability
• Organized/detail-oriented/extremely thorough
• Strong communication skills
•Understanding of GIPS and ability to apply the standards to performance calculations and representations
• Conceptual and practical understanding of the various performance metrics
 o Different money-weighted and time-weighted return methodologies
 o Risk analytics
 o Benchmarking
 o Asset allocation
• Understanding of inner-working of the transactional data that comprises metrics such as deposits, withdrawals, net contribution, investment income
• Knowledge of investment management operations, with a focus on portfolio accounting and performance measurement
• Experience working with performance measurement, portfolio accounting and investment research systems (ex: First Rate, Albridge Wealth Reporting, Fiserv APL, Informa Profile Producer, Envestnet, Morningstar, FactSet) 

  • Preferred Qualifications

• CIPM and/or CFA designation (or progress towards)
