Minneapolis-based investment management firm seeks full-time, municipal credit analyst to assist team in managing $4 billion in municipal assets. Responsibilities include performing fundamental credit analysis on municipal revenue and GO bond issues and sectors, including select areas of high yield; performing surveillance on existing fixed income holdings; and providing timely investment recommendations to portfolio managers. The scope of work requires the analyst to conduct on-site visits for certain municipal investments as part of credit assessment; to be able to negotiate appropriate security structure, financial covenants and legal provisions; and to prepare research reports on specific issuers and sectors. The analyst will also be responsible for helping the team evaluate, develop and implement tools and practices used to enhance the research and portfolio management process and for special projects as they arise.

Interested candidates should possess the following qualifications: Three or more years of financial, ideally credit, analysis experience; MBA, CFA and/or CPA designation (or working toward obtaining); strong math and analytical skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal skills, ability to work independently in a high-energy environment; willingness to travel; proficiency with Microsoft applications.​
