The Role: S&P Global' s Market Intelligence division is seeking a Relationship Manager for our Sydney Australia offices to cover Pacific Investment Management accounts. A key partner for our clients, the Relationship Management team masters industry, product and financial knowledge to keep our clients informed. This highly strategic role is responsible for managing and developing existing and prospective client relationships across existing book of clients within Investment Management, to understand the challenges and opportunities they face, and will discuss how Market Intelligence solutions can enable them to achieve value through their partnership with the organisation.

Your Skills: S&P Global Market Intelligence hires professionals from the financial services industry that have a strong understanding of our clients. You have exceptional communication skills and are able to articulate ideas and complex information in a clear and structured manner. You have excellent knowledge of the financial markets and associated persona types, in particular Valuations, M&A, Treasury and Credit Risk, and are well-aware of current trends. You have strong personal integrity and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Pacific business base for Investment Management accounts.
  • Devise and execute strategic account plans to grow and retain business.
  • Develop an exceptional understanding of S&P Global Market Intelligence products and their application to specific clients/job functions.
  • Maintain, develop and nurture deep & strong relationships with client organisations, addressing their needs & maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction to retain revenue, while providing proactive/reactive generation of sales leads and business development opportunities.
  • Guide clients through the product set up and conduct training sessions and product demos.
  • Analyses clients' business needs, develops solutions, product enhancements and new development opportunities to maintain and grow business.
  • Staying current on competitor offerings to identify the strengths and vulnerabilities of S&P Global Market Intelligence offerings in comparison.
  • Contribute to the business strategy through gaining a deep understanding of industry regulatory requirements, market trends and client requirements.
  • Travel 30%+

Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in business, commerce, economics or related subjects. Post grad study/CFA a plus.
  • Prior 3-5 years of experience (financial services industry is preferred).
  • Proven track record in relationship management is highly desired.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented, with a positive, "can do" attitude
  • Excellent communication, organisational, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Personable, and enjoy networking and meeting new people
  • Demonstrates exceptional skills in listening to clients, articulating ideas and complex information in a clear and structured manner.
  • Strong personal integrity and a confident and positive manner.
  • Highly entrepreneurial mindset; demonstrates drive, initiative, energy and sense of urgency.
  • Strong analytical capabilities in the areas of credit risk, financial modeling and valuation analysis is desirable.
  • Works well independently.
