The role
The Investment Account Analyst supports the investment team by providing investment account analysis to assure the accurate and effective execution of the Investment Policy Statement (IPS). Under guidance from the VP of Investments, the Analyst will partner with AEF’s Investment Relationship Manager to perform specific responsibilities to ensure compliance of AEF’s IPS for an assigned portion of AEF’s financial advisor and custodial relationships.
You will
- Schedule, monitor, track and document the outcomes of annual account reviews
- Compile, analyze and present information related to investment performance and allocation, management fees and other account oversight responsibilities to the VP of Investments and Investment Relationship Manager
- Perform data integrity clean-up of investment account holdings and review investment account documents
- Research and update investment performance benchmarks and document processes
- Perform activities related to the opening of an investment account, both new and existing, as well as maintain ongoing accounts
- Provide investment account oversight, in coordination with the Investment Relationship Manager and in accordance with IPS
- Lead and/or participate in projects and initiatives to meet the objectives of the investment department
We are seeking candidates with
- 2 to 5 years of analysis experience in financial services or the investment management industry
- Strong computer skills and aptitude for technology, with advanced Excel skills including VBA programming
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
