As we build out our trading platform to execute on multiple venues there is an increasing reliance on messaging capabilities to connect both externally and internally. The processing of ticking market data, orders, fills, rating changes and compliance checks all present different use cases for inter-process messaging.
We are seeking an experienced messaging individual to take ownership of this critical technology, drive ongoing advancement, and build a first class platform to deliver business solutions.

What you will do:
- Design and Build a managed self-service fully automated messaging platform!
- Working with application teams to understand their use cases and define solutions.
- Create the messaging roadmap, looking to the future and evaluating emerging technologies and best practices.
- Create a strong culture of monitoring, diagnostics and troubleshooting. Oversee platform operations and guide our Tech Ops team to provide excellent service, manage capacity, and perform platform upgrades.

Position Requirements:
About you:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with messaging platforms such as IBM MQ, 60 East Amps, TIBCO RV, Reuters RMDS, Zero-MQ, Rabbit-MQ, Apache Kafka or others.
- Understanding of infrastructure fundamentals such as Unix, Networking, SSL
- Experience with market data messaging, guaranteed delivery semantics and replay
- Experience in writing software in one or more languages such as Java, Python, C# or JavaScript.
