The Opportunity

Mesirow Financial Investment Strategies is seeking a Director of Fund Research to lead our manager due diligence initiatives. The Director of Fund Research will work with our quantitative research team, project management leaders and analyst team to develop, maintain and coordinate our manager due diligence process.

The Director of Fund Research will:
•Serve as the team lead on the design, maintenance and oversight of our overall manager due diligence process. This will include leveraging our robust quantitative due diligence process and coordinating efforts with other members of the team
•Serve as the team lead overseeing our recommended products list
•Interface with our quantitative research team to develop new processes and techniques
•Interface with team project managers on client engagements and related projects including manager selection
•Serve as the subject matter expert for the team for our manager due diligence process
•Participate in client engagements and new business opportunities

Qualifications
•Minimum of 10 years of manager due diligence expertise with knowledge of and experience in the defined contribution industry strongly preferred
•CFA® charter strongly preferred
•Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred
•Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment
•Advanced knowledge of manager due diligence tools (e.g., Morningstar Direct)
•Series 7 and 66 Licenses required within four months of start date
