We are the only professional services organisation who has a separate business dedicated exclusively to the financial services marketplace. Join Financial Services (FSO) and you will work with multi-disciplinary teams from around the world to deliver a global perspective. Aligned to key industry groups including asset management, banking and capital markets, insurance and private equity, we provide integrated advisory, assurance, tax, and transaction services.

The opportunity
As part of the Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) practice and you will provide a well-integrated broad array of risk management services to capital market participants within global banking, capital markets, asset management and insurance. FSRM services include Credit, Market and Operational Risk Management, IFRS 9 Advisory Services, Quantitative Advisory Services, Risk Management IT Implementation, and Compliance and AML Advisory Services.

Your key responsibilities
As a FSRM Manager/Senior Manager, you will be expected to:
  • BD - Drawing on your skills and experience, you'll stay abreast of innovative commercial insights for clients
  • PMO - Technically contribute to managing projects which includes packaging overall project findings into clear, concise and high-quality deliverables
  • Work effectively as a team leader having the responsibility to manage project deliverables and maintain sound stakeholder management
  • Build valuable relationships with external clients and internal peers
  • Serve as a role model to junior team members for quality & risk management and ensure that comply with EY's Quality & Risk Management guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with junior team members and help cultivating them to becoming a high performer.

To qualify for the role, preferably you have the following attributes:
  • Strong educational background
  • Minimum 8 years (Senior Manager) or 5 years (Manager) of relevant experience in any of the following areas:
    • Capital Management (Basel II / III, ICAAP)
    • Model Development & Validation - (Basel II / III, IFRS 9)
    • Stress Testing
    • Risk Management IT implementation
    • Risk Management Governance (policies framework)
    • Treasury Management (ALM, transfer pricing and hedging)
  • Experience in working in a team-oriented environment with proven track record of managing teams and delivering in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Experience in analytical and risk management tools/systems (e.g. SAS, R, Murex, VBA, MATLAB)
  • Excellent analytical, report-writing, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong management skills and proven people management skills
  • Professional certifications in FRM, CFA and PMP will be an added advantage
