The Job:

The successful candidate will assist the Senior Singapore Risk Manager in the management of the risks in Singapore. The main focus includes the following:

  • Ensure independent risk reporting and ensure discipline and consistency with risk standards and policies.
  • Ensure the timely production and submission of the monthly risk reports (Risk Management report, Credit Portfolio report etc.).
  • Inform and advice local business of updates to the risk policies.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of Risk Management policies.
  • Assist in the execution of the annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment.  
  • Organize and be the secretary to the Singapore Risk Committee.
  • Organize and be the secretary to the Singapore Credit Approval Committee. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or other quantitative disciplines.
  • Certification such as FRM, CFA is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of risk management experience in Financial Institutions preferably in functions like Integrated Risk Management, Operational Risk, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Risk Reporting & Control or business (control) functions.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision and under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in project coordination and attribute to best practices of project management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as a team and with other departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua (in order to liaise with Chinese & Putonghua speaking associates)
