This role is part of EMEA Capital Markets Team which is a joint venture between Markets and Private Bank and aims to provide institutional like capital markets solutions to Family Offices, Ultra Mega Wealth and sophisticated client base of Citi Private Bank

This position will be reporting to the Head of Fixed Income and be involved in covering private clients directly as well as through the relationship management

Job Purpose:

This role is based within the EMEA Capital Markets at Citi Private Bank
Work under the direction of the EMEA Head of Fixed Income within a team of 7 people. Team consists of 4 flow fixed income advisors/traders and 3 rates and credit derivatives structurers with responsibility over the entire EMEA region, as part of the Capital Markets team. This role has significant client interaction which requires extensive knowledge and understanding of fixed income markets, with particular focus on credit as well as rates. 

Key aspects of this role are:

Capital Markets team is a key contributor of Investments revenues and segregated into 3 key asset classes. Fixed Income, Equities and Foreign Exchange. Each asset class has trading and structuring experts who drive the success of individual asset's contribution into client's investment portfolio and business revenues. Their specialized experience and knowledge makes them the product expert and they are expected to work together with Private Bankers and Investment Counsellors to provide the best in class service and product/trading offering to Citi Private Bank clients. Each product specialist has product revenue targets within the overall budget.
Another important aspect of this role is to develop new products in particular tailored solutions to client's investment needs as well as liability management.
The incumbent will be expected to foster ongoing dialogue with colleagues across Citi Private Bank, Markets Traders and Structures and to leverage Citi's best trading and product capabilities as well as open-architecture to Citi Private Bank clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively monitor markets, develop and remain abreast of market intelligence with the view to delivering such intelligence to the relationship management teams and clients in the region, in conjunction with CPB Chief Investment Strategy and Citi Research functions.
• Interest Rate derivatives pricing, structuring both for investment and hedging purposes.
• Credit derivatives pricing and structuring both for investment and hedging purposes.
• Work with various issuer banks to create funded fixed income products.
• Join client meetings and explain the market developments, work on ideas and suggestions of investments that are suitable for specific client situation in that market environment.
• Work on regular market updates and product suggestions publications both for internal and external distribution based on market conditions
• Keep up to date with developments in capital markets and join research/strategy meetings, follow Citi Research as well as third party publications in markets.
• Project management on platform and product improvements as well as implementation of new regulations in the industry.
• Build strong relationships with Private Bankers and other business and product partners within CPB as well as trading, structuring, and sales teams in Markets.
• Actively promote fixed income products and capabilities to bring new business and increase revenues.
• Manage the process from start to finish including trade booking and follow up operations when necessary
• Responsible for ensuring the seamless execution, booking and reporting of transactions. Improvement of systems and models.
• Ensure conformity with global firm standards of client service, regulatory, compliance, and operating model
• Increase connectivity and engagement between Markets and Citi Private Bank clients and stakeholders.
• Project management on platform and product improvements as well as implementation of new regulations in the industry.
• Manage the process from start to finish including trade booking and follow up operations when necessary.

Qualifications

Knowledge/ experience:

• A thorough understanding of Fixed Income Markets.
• Experience and understanding of derivatives mainly interest rates and credit.
• Experience in pricing derivatives and structuring is preferred
• Strong organization and operational skills.
• Project management and delivery skills essential.
• Experience working for a private bank or dealing with high end clients is preferred.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and multitasking
• Self-motivated and cooperative team player
• Strong communication and presentation skills, good initiative and creativity - ability to present alternatives and construct new ideas,

Qualifications:

• Graduate degree or equivalent.
• Additional qualification/s in capital markets will be considered favourably.
• FCA Retail Registration, IAD Certificate holders or CFA will be considered favourably.
• Very good at both oral and written English
• An additional language to English is beneficial but not essential
