Responsibility:
• Studying and reviewing new Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and RFIs in detail
• Analysing and determining the best approach to and strategy for each RFP, in conjunction with relevant Sales, Portfolio Management and Product Specialist colleagues
• Gather proposal information - identify sources of information and internal response requirements
• Allocate effectively and in a timely way all responses requiring input from other colleagues or teams
• Work clearly and cohesively with other business areas to collate and edit the required material on a timely basis - including Product Control, Fund Accounting, RMPA, Portfolio Managers, Product Specialists and Sales
• Establish priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; enter and monitor tracking data; coordinate requirements with contributors; provide proposal status information to Sales
• Draft proposal and populate draft answers to questions for review by Manager and by relevant Portfolio Managers, Product Specialist and Sales colleagues
• Edit the RFP as appropriate to reflect input from relevant colleagues at each stage
• Establish and maintain current best-in-class response templates for frequent questions and information to the extent possible
• Maintain proposal support database(s), including Qvidian
• Aim to achieve excellence in proposal-writing standards - including relevance and resonance, readability, completeness, consistency, accuracy and tone
• Ensure accurate, thorough and tracked review of each RFP prior to submission by Client Service, relevant PM team, Sales and Compliance
• Improve proposal-writing performance by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, and best-in-class responses
• Update job knowledge and skills by participating in educational opportunities and learning from other colleagues and teams on an ongoing basis
Skills & Qualifications:
• Organised and with strong attention to detail
• Strong writing skills, with ability to craft clear and resonant language
• Strong ability to manage to deadlines and to prioritise workflow
• Team-player with ability to communicate clearly and to motivate involvement from colleagues and other business areas
• Strong Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills
• A strong knowledge of financial products and markets
• Experience in a similar role at a major asset management firm would be a strong positive
• Experience in credit markets would be a positive
• Qualifications - degree level, CFA not required but would be a positive
