Our client is a rapidly growing funds management business and they currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Investment Analyst with strong fixed income / credit research experience to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• conduct investment research by reviewing and analysing the broader fixed income market
• contributing toward the firm’s investment strategy including portfolio construction
• research and monitor of both direct and managed investments, including reviewing of specialist fixed income managers
• Credit Analysis - Conduct research and due diligence (including meeting with borrowers/brokers) and identify key credit risk drivers and evaluate for investment recommendation

• Conducting in-depth research on companies, structured credit notes and fixed income credit markets;
• Building cash flow models to analyse individual companies and structured credit products;
• Assisting in on-going development and maintenance of risk management models along with interpreting / reviewing regulations and legal documentation;
• Preparing internal and external presentations on products and markets; and
• Attending and participating in investment committee meetings.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• 4 years of experience within investments either from funds management, asset consulting, financial planning or superannuation;
• Tertiary qualified in a relevant business degree, with plans to commence post graduate studies (CFA would be ideal);
• Sound understanding and passion for financial markets, primarily fixed income; and
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as demonstrated analytical skills.
