Regulatory Controller - Top Tier Investment Bank

The Reg Team are responsible for making sure the Bank maintains adequate capital resources to meet its business commitments and enough of a buffer for risks which may impact the Bank e.g. market risk, credit risk and operational risk.

The team then produce all the internal and external capital reporting for the EMEA regulated entities and so is a very high-profile role which gives the suitable candidate great exposure to the Bank, it's business and an opportunity to work with other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

- Daily calculation of certain components of the regulatory capital position.

- Preparing the PRA regulatory returns on a monthly or quarterly basis.

- Presenting these returns to senior management.

- Preparing the COREP returns for the Bank's UK entities.

- Completing various other PRA returns such as the FSA001, FSA002, FSA015, FSA017.

- Completing the Bank of England's regulatory returns such as the BT, AD, AL, BE etc.

- Calculating the leverage ratios and reporting these to senior management & externally.

- Calculating various capital forecast scenarios for the Bank's ICAAP.

- Assisting in the preparation of monthly or quarterly internal capital committee documents.

- Responding to ad hoc request from either external regulators or senior management.

Experience:

- Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA / CFA.

Skills:

- Great attention to detail;

- Great time management skills;

- Flexible in their work - able to adjust working in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines;

- Strong Excel skills - comfortable with manipulating large data sets;

- Strong communication skills - both written and oral;

- Self-motivated;

- Proactive;

- High energy;

- A desire to learn;

- Interest in financial markets and products;
