Financial Compliance Manager (Ref: FCM-00-Efin)

Ensure the banking returns and surveys are in compliance with the completion instructions and relevant guidelines as set out by the HKMA. Conduct review of regulatory reporting requirements to ensure compliance with regulation in each jurisdictions. Assist in the implementation of system enhancement projects relating to banking return reporting and other ad hoc tasks as required by the management from time to time. Handle inquiries from regulators including the HKMA / CBRC, liaise with all internal and external auditors to prepare the responses. Provide information and documentation to internal and external audit requests. Supervise and assign responsibility to staff to enhance their professional development and provide staff with on-the-job training on technical issues. Assist to review, maintain and enhance the existing compliance manuals and procedures. Perform ad hoc projects as required. Take primary accountability and the role of reviewer for all HKMA reporting requirements to ensure quality and timeliness. Assess the regulatory reporting impact of new products.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or related disciplines with minimum 4 years' relevant experience in authorised institutions incorporated in HK, or a consultancy firm or a regulator; preferably with professional qualification in ACCA / CPA / FRM / CFA;
  • Strong knowledge in HKMA banking returns, especially Interest Rate Risk is an advantage;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Chinese and English, proficiency in Mandarin is preferable;
  • Independent, self-initiative, analytical mind, good interpersonal skill;
  • Knowledge of system implementation is highly preferable;
  • Computer literacy skills with expertise on MS excel and knowledge in VBA is an advantage.

(Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Financial Compliance Manager.)
