RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS GS SUSTAIN strives to identify long-term high quality investment ideas with persistent high returns on capital, access to growth, durable competitive advantage and engagement with key ESG issues.

We are looking for a lead Writing Analyst to join our GS SUSTAIN Research effort in Asia. Principal responsibilities include:
  • Build strong industry knowledge of corporate ESG risks and opportunities
  • Be responsible for the generation and execution of investment ideas
  • Write reports/notes on key long-term investment themes
  • Communicate with the equities sales force and traders, clients and company managements
  • Interpret data and perform analysis on market, economic and ESG trends
Basic Qualifications
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong team orientation
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7 years of experience in investment research, financial modelling and analysis
  • Demonstrated interest or previous experience in Sustainability/ESG
  • Working knowledge of accounting, finance, and valuation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Comfortable taking initiative and being resourceful/entrepreneurial
  • Ability to multi-task and work with numerous teams
  • Progress toward earning the CFA designation
