Role: Relationship Manager

Highlights & Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with key Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) stakeholders (Product, Research, Operations, Sales, Relationship management) to deliver MSIM products, solutions and services to clients of MSMW (long only & alternative products)
• "Be the voice of MSWM" within MSIM and help the collective leadership team shape our response and subsequent activity surrounding mutually beneficial initiatives (tactical and strategic)
• Develop robust communication routines & business reporting for key centers of influence (field to business groups) within MSWM to encourage ongoing dialogue
• Work with MSWM COIs to secure MSIM exposure at key events and ensure that budgeted dollars are spent efficiently
• Negotiate (as needed) and support platform contracts across the various MSIM product lines and services
• Act as central resource within MSIM for MSWM problem resolution across intermediary team
• Serve as the universal voice of MSIM for all engagement with MSWM to ensure streamlined connectivity across platforms
• Assist US Intermediary Distribution sales leadership in identifying and supporting sales initiatives / campaigns, providing sales team training, resolving sales-related issues, and giving updates on MSMW strategy and current events
• Support the implementation and negotiation of platform contracts across the various MSIM product lines (MFs, SMAs, MMFs)
• Partner with the MSIM LatAm and US Liquidity sales managers to coordinate efforts within MSWM
• Ensure connectivity across both MSIM and MSWM FCG and operations teams to ensure rev share is executed appropriately
• Partner with MSWM Management to identify tactical partnership opportunities, secure agenda time for MSIM in PWA Council meetings, arrange MSIM senior management road shows, and sponsor UHNW client events
• Maximize the impact of MSIM's event spend by developing an annual event calendar and framework that optimizes MSIM's exposure opportunities at the national and local levels
• Leverage MSWM's latest digital marketing tools and MSIM Marketing to increase exposure across MSWM
• Maintain the GIMA relationship by continuing open dialogue with GIMA senior management and analysts, while advocating for MSIM's products
• Establish open lines of communication with key centers of influence in MSWM product areas to stay on top of product trends and current events
• Partner with the MSWM product team to ensure MSIM products are available on all MSWM platforms
• Support LatAm sales leadership in advocating for MSIM offshore funds on potential offshore pricing changes and product rationalization, advocating for MSIM offshore funds within the MSWM platform
• Collaborate with MSWM CG and MSIM sales management to expand MSIM's custom investment and separately managed account capabilities and offer a unique MSIM products that address the needs of advisors and their clients

Qualifications:

Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Advanced degrees and/or designations a plus (MBA, JD, CFA)
• 10 + years of financial service experience
• Prior experience in national accounts/RM roles, product management and/or strategic /business consulting a plus
• Must have structural knowledge of (Mutual Funds, Separately Managed Accounts, Alternative Investments)
• Have and/or obtain securities licenses: Series 7, 63/66 or 65
• A results-oriented and extremely organized individual who can work alone or as part of a small team.
• Comfortable working with people at all organizational levels
• Must be able to work in a rapid and fast paced environment
• Must be self-starter and manage time efficiently and effectively
• Excellent oral and written communicator
