POSITION: Apex is actively looking for experienced Associate to Vice President level positions for our New York mid-town office with the following attributes:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: As an analyst on the Apex team, you will be assigned certain industries and assume responsibilities related to underwriting new primary transactions and covering existing loan investments. These responsibilities will include the following:

REQUIRED BACKGROUND:
POSITION: Apex is actively looking for experienced Associate to Vice President level positions for our New York mid-town office with the following attributes:
- Research Analyst buy-side role with 3 - 7 years of overall experience with a generalist background
- Underwriting of leveraged loan transactions as well as monitoring existing exposures within assigned industry sectors
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: As an analyst on the Apex team, you will be assigned certain industries and assume responsibilities related to underwriting new primary transactions and covering existing loan investments. These responsibilities will include the following:
- Analyze primary issuance and secondary market opportunities
- Conduct investment due diligence and assess key credit considerations
- Preparation of underwriting approval/decline memos for formal credit committee approval
- Continuous oversight/coverage of all investments
- Provide quarterly analysis of financial and operating performance
- Prepare amendment, waiver, and consent requests
- Buy/hold/sell recommendations based on credit and relative value
Qualifications
REQUIRED BACKGROUND:
- Significant experience in bank loan underwriting and research with in-depth quantitative credit, financial analytical, and critical thinking skills expertise
- Demonstrated modeling, written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Significant experience analyzing CIMs, models, credit agreements, and term sheets
- Team player who is a resourceful self-starter, willing to assist with the training of junior analysts, and to work on special projects
- Some knowledge of utilities, packaging or mining industries helpful but not necessary
- CFA, MBA, and/or formal credit training
