Delivering high-quality research and analysis to investors around the world, the Global Research team covers economics, currencies, equities, fixed income and climate change to help our clients best navigate and make sense of turbulent global financial markets. Global Research offers fundamental, cross-asset, technical and quantitative analysis presented through multiple platforms and formats.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Director, Brokers and Exchanges Equity Analyst.

Principal responsibilities
  • Coverage of China and Hong Kong Brokers, Hong Kong Exchanges and Singapore Exchanges
  • Deliver client votes from HSBC's tiered accounts
  • Provide service to internal stakeholders, as required
  • Produce two thematics per year, regular stock and sector updates, sector collaboration
  • Deliver traditional roadshows, reverse roadshows, expert events and conference participation
  • Remain compliant with all relevant rules and regulations as well as being up to date on compliance and training


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Strong coverage of China and Hong Kong brokers, scope to add Hong Kong Exchange, Singapore Exchange and Hong Kong Banks
  • Strong client franchise, especially Greater China clients which can be expanded on the HSBC platform
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in Mandarin and English
  • A logical thinker with clear report writing skills
  • Collaborative and inquisitive
  • Team player and willingness to develop juniors
  • Attention to detail, organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor Degree required, with CFA or MBA an advantage
