Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate models to quantify and manage credit risks associated with collateral pledged to support advances, the Bank's Mortgage Partnership Finance (MPF) and Mortgage Purchase Program (MPP) loan portfolios, and other Bank and risk management initiatives.
• Develop and maintain documentation of models, methodologies, governing frameworks, and reporting processes to support regular production and related compliance requirements.
• Analyze, monitor, and report on Credit and Collateral risk exposures and trends to management and oversight committees.
• Assist in the management and oversight of key vendor relationships, contracts, and engagements for the Risk Analytics team.
• Evaluate new business activities and initiatives to develop appropriate procedures to monitor and manage associated risk exposure.
• Serve as the Risk Analytics and general credit risk liaison for bank-wide projects.
• Prepares regular reports on credit- and collateral-related risk management issues.
• Serve as back-up for other Analysts in ongoing production of key models and reports.
• Manage departmental internal controls and regulatory issues.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with a major in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or related field required - or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired; Advanced degree or certification including CFA and/or FRM preferred.
• Five to seven years of experience in the financial services industry with experience in valuation, quantitative finance, risk management, credit loss modeling, and/or financial modeling.
• Strong organizational, collaboration, and time management skills with the ability to independently manage projects and function effectively under tight deadlines.
• Strong credit analysis skills, including financial modeling, statistical analysis, and valuation.
• Ability to positively engage, self-motivate, and possess a strong desire to learn.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products and demonstrated relational database, data management, and database query development (e.g. SQL) experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; Experience developing and presenting materials to senior management.
