Job Description:

The successful candidate will perform research activities supporting a portfolio management team managing convertible, flexible capital income, and dividend opportunities investment strategies. They will be an integral member of the investment team to support the lead portfolio manager in the day to day management of the funds. Responsibilities include portfolio rebalancing, monitor changes, and cash management while maintaining strict adherence to client mandated restrictions and follows Compliance procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with research groups located in Boston, New York, Portland and Minneapolis.
  • Make tactical and strategic recommendations to enable portfolios to achieve desired goals.
  • Develop and prepare analytical information with a focus on benchmark research and relative positioning to benchmarks.
  • Prepare required ongoing fund reporting, sales and marketing materials.
  • Monitor portfolio activity including trading, settlements and cash balances. Ensure portfolios are monitored and within mandates and compliant.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics or related field.
  • 2-7 years of experience in fundamental investment research or multi-asset investing.
  • Ability to work as both a team player and individual contributor.
  • Good analytical, technical, written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience using analytical systems and tools.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • Progress towards or completion of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
