We are an international organisation promoting global monetary and financial stability, and a bank for central banks. You will help further our mission by performing and supervising market-making and pricing activities for central banks and international institutions.

The role requires you to calculate and quote prices for BIS products, taking appropriate risks into consideration. You will contribute to the definition of a comprehensive and harmonised pricing policy across products and currencies. In addition, you will hedge the interest rate risk arising from customer transactions, and take interest rate and credit risk for the Bank within the unit's defined risk framework. You will also monitor market trends, economic indicators, fiscal and monetary policy, and central bank research to identify risks and opportunities.

We look forward to meeting candidates with excellent and broad knowledge of a range of investment products in major financial markets. You should have extensive experience in interest rate trading, with a university degree in economics, finance or business. An MBA or CFA would be an advantage. You will be an excellent team player, with strong analytical skills and the ability to cope with pressure. Excellent drafting and communications skills in English are essential, with knowledge of other major languages an advantage.

We offer a unique, highly rewarding, international work environment. You'll receive a competitive compensation package, including full relocation and health insurance. And because of our status as an international organisation, we are able to hire globally and welcome applications from candidates of all nationalities.
